Overview

Jeffrey Kaelith, 26, is a young but seasoned scout in the Edsonian Resistance. Raised among border settlements, he was shaped by years of living in the shadows of conflict — where speed, silence, and instinct meant survival. Though not a warrior in the traditional sense, his value lies in his ability to move unseen, gather intelligence, and read both terrain and people with uncanny accuracy.

Connection to Vear

At a critical point in Vear’s early rise, Jeffrey Kaelith is tasked with guiding him through hostile territory during the quest for the Star Sword. While skeptical of Vear's legend, Jeffrey can't help but be drawn to the young warrior’s calm power.
  • He offers a grounded perspective, often questioning the hero narrative forming around Vear while also unknowingly helping to shape it.
  • Their dynamic is defined by contrast and quiet loyalty—Jeffrey may not fully understand Vear’s destiny, but he believes in the kind of man he sees in front of him.

Personality and Traits:

  • Age: 26 — old enough to be hardened, young enough to still hope
  • Clever, dry-witted, occasionally cynical, but not without warmth
  • Wears a patched hooded cloak, carries a collapsible bone-spear and flint-etched map roll
  • Trained in stealth-pathmarking, remote signaling, and enemy behavior profiling
  • Has a quiet superstition streak, often muttering sayings from his grandmother like: "Never trust a moon that rises without shadow."
